8x8 pricing needs a current quote

8x8’s current pricing page asks buyers to request a quote. The reference below explains the older X2 and X4 figures on this site so you can compare a new proposal on the same basis.

The June pricing reference, with its limits

These are the dated annual list figures in our 8x8 reference calculator, last verified June 7, 2026. The old $24 X2 and $44 X4 summary mixed different seat bands. Today 8x8’s current pricing page directs buyers to request a quote and does not publish these dollar amounts.

Worked budget: price the users who need the upgrade

Using only the June reference at the 25 to 50 seat band: 50 X2 seats × $22 = $1,100 per month ($13,200 over 12 months). Fifty X4 seats × $48 = $2,400 per month ($28,800 over 12 months).

If a vendor approves the same seat-band prices and mixed licensing, 42 X2 seats plus eight X4 seats would be (42 × $22) + (8 × $48) = $1,308 per month. That is $1,092 below the all-X4 reference. This scenario illustrates why user roles matter; it is not a current offer or evidence of a completed customer deal.

Example assumptions: US dollars, annual commitment, base subscriptions only. Taxes, regulatory charges, hardware, implementation, porting work, usage and optional services are excluded unless the written proposal includes them. Annual totals are monthly amounts multiplied by 12, not a statement about invoice timing.

Start with destinations and user roles

For X-Series proposals, 8x8’s calling-country list distinguishes X2 calling to 14 countries from X4 calling to 48, subject to the applicable conditions. This describes outbound calling destinations, not the number of countries where you can obtain local numbers.

• List the countries and number types actually called, then compare them with the included destinations and exclusions in the proposal.
• Separate ordinary callers from supervisors and contact-center agents. Ask which licenses each group needs.
• Price X2 and X4 for the same total headcount, contract length and deployment scope. Ask whether mixed plans retain the quoted volume band.
• Request separate contact-center licensing and implementation costs. Do not assume an X2 or X4 phone seat includes a full contact center.
• Test local-number availability, call routing, recording retention and CRM behavior for every required location.

What to get in writing before choosing

• One inventory of users, shared phones, locations and numbers to port, used by every bidder.
• The exact plan for each user group and a line item for every required integration, recording feature and support service.
• A demonstration of your actual call flow, including busy queues, after-hours calls and transfers to a mobile user.
• A complete first invoice, implementation scope, renewal terms, cancellation notice and the rules for adding or removing seats.
• A porting owner, confirmed cutover plan and rollback contacts. Keep the old service active until transfers and testing are complete.
